Mrs. Thornton - Homeroom Teacher

I am thrilled to be teaching the 2A class this year. Being involved with children has been a large part of my life. I have taught Sunday School, been a camp counsellor, and worked at a daycare for many years. After graduating from the University of Manitoba, specializing in Early Years Education, I taught at a Christian School in Winnipeg for 7 years. Staying home for the next 10 years raising my young family was a joy. I have enjoyed teaching kindergarten and grade 2 here at SCA..

I have been married to a wonderful man for the past 26 years and have been blessed with 4 wonderful children. My life is full and busy! God has truly blessed me!

Mrs. Dawe - 2A Teacher

I am very excited to be back teaching in 2A this year. Growing up I spent many summers leading day camps, summer camps, and taught Sunday school for many years. I did French Immersion growing up and that led to me doing my education degree in French as a second language as well as in second language acquisition. I love the energy that kids give off, and I am looking forward to hopefully being someone that can spark their desire for knowledge and make a difference in their lives.

I have taught at SCA for 12 years and have taught a variety of things from 4-6 French, grade 3 afternoons, a few subjects in grade 1 and now finally to grade 2.

Adam and I have been married for 13 years and we have 2 beautiful daughters. Kassie is in Grade 4 this year and Alexa who is in Grade 1 this year.
